Clarksville Police report Man & Woman display Handgun at Sango Walmart

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police say the man and woman involved in the shoplifting incident on December 14th, 2019 at Walmart, 2315 Madison Street, in which a firearm was displayed were spotted again today, Wednesday, December 18th.

Around 3:15pm, Clarksville Police were notified by Walmart’s Loss Prevention, 3050 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, the man and woman involved flashing a gun at the Sango Walmart were now at the Wilma Rudolph Boulevard store. The couple had exited the store and entered a Ford Fusion.

Officers spotted the vehicle in the area of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard and Morris Drive. They attempted a traffic stop but the driver fled so recklessly, placing the public in danger, the decision was made not to pursue.

Around 3:25pm, a 911 call came in about a man chasing a woman into the woods around Fair Brook Place and a shot being fired. When Clarksville Police Officers arrived they found the same Ford Fusion which had fled earlier, unoccupied and abandoned.

The area was quickly cordoned off, officers and K-9 along with a Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopter were utilized to search for the couple. They were not located and there was no indication anyone had been shot.

It was discovered the Ford Fusion had been stolen last night out of Rutherford County. Also, there were items linking the couple to the Sango Walmart incident.

The woman has been identified as Christina Mahalie, age 28.

There is a tentative ID on the male, but it has not been confirmed. He has a large amount of tattoos around his neck with a tattoo forming sideburns. Also, both hands have very visible tattoos.

The last time they were saw was around the Wilma Rudolph area around Fair Brook Place (Exit 4).

They are most likely looking for a vehicle to steal since they are now on foot.

They should be Consider Armed and Dangerous.
